Privacy

GemStorm ("the game") is made by Elijah Patterson ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses and why. In short, we don't collect your name, email, contacts, location or photos, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Information the game keeps on your device

Your progress (levels, stars, coins, power-ups, settings and high scores) is saved only on your device. We can't see it, and it's deleted if you delete the game.

Anonymous gameplay statistics

To improve the game's difficulty and fix problems, the game sends anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. Examples are "level 12 started", "level 12 won in 48 seconds" or "a power-up was used". These signals don't include your name, email, Apple ID, advertising identifier or location. TelemetryDeck replaces the device identifier with an anonymous, one-way hashed value, so the data can't be linked back to you. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Apple's Game Center, your Endless scores are posted to GemStorm's leaderboards and shown with your Game Center nickname. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center at any time in your device's Settings.

In-app purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. We only learn which item was bought so the game can deliver it.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game schedules local reminders on your device (for example "your energy is full"). These are created on your device, and no notification data is sent to us. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.

Children

GemStorm is suitable for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't collect any. Anonymous statistics are processed only by TelemetryDeck on our behalf.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
